This Wednesday, November 15th saw the 1st Annual BNDS Joint National and International Staff Art Exhibition. Over 35 staff members of the school showed their artistic talents with poetry, music, calligraphy, painting, photography, acting, dancing, film, and sculpture in the Botanical Atrium on the 7th floor of the Aspiration Building.

According to AP Programme Director Mr. Coverson, the goal of the event was “To promote unity between the National and International teachers and to have an exhibition where BNDS students can see the human side of their teachers.”

The event was judged a success with many parents of BNDS students impressed with the high artistic level of ability of the faculty members. One parent said that they “Loved the music and artworks and look forward to next year’s show.”

The collaboration between the National Programme and the International teachers has fostered bonds in the BNDS Community with new friendships made between the participants.

The exhibition was made possible by the support and assistance by Directer of the International Department, Dr. Teng; Director of Integrated Extra Curricular Activities, Mr. Wu; Head of BNDS Arts, Ms.Wang; Head of Physical Education and Coordinator of CNCC Art, Physical Education, Ms.Huang; and the Assistant of International Department Ms.Wang.

Mr.Incze, Head of BNDS Advanced Placement Arts said that he hopes that this is the first of many collaborative efforts between the National and International departments as it strengthens us as a school.
