Shunyi, Beijing. - The BNDS Dragons Football Team secured their spot in the CSAAFL National Finals with three straight wins at Beijing Aidi Stadium. This is the first time the Dragons have reached the national finals with an undefeated record in a legit tournament with six schools participating since the team was established.

The first game was a closely contested match against the formidable crosstown rival RDFZ. Despite facing tough competition, the Dragons came out on top with a final score of 14-13 with two touchdowns from #34 Xander Wang and a two-point extra point from #18 Tony Zhong.

In the second game, the Dragons faced off against the host Beijing Aidi school; with a Pick-six by #12 William Liu and a sack by #21 Ted Dou, they scored a convincing 14-6 victory. And finally, in their third game, the Dragons took on the SDSZ conqueror and dominated the game from start to finish, ending with a 26:0 victory, with touchdowns from #99 David Wang and   #0 Tony Huang.

Up next for the Dragons

With these three big wins, the Dragons will head to Shanghai for the national finals, beginning with the first game kickoff on Monday, July 3. We will make a supreme effort to bring the championship trophy back to BNDS. LET’S GO, DRAGONS.

I would like to give a special thanks to our coaches Mr. Wolbers and Mr. Sean and our teachers Mr. Wu and Mrs. Huang who supported us so much. The BNDS Dragons Football Team was founded in September 2021 and has grown to include over 25 official players, 3 professional coaches, and more than 140 club members.

Our team values diversity and strives to break down stereotypes by bringing boys and girls together to experience authentic American football. We hold formal practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays but also offer beginner classes on Wednesdays for those just starting. It doesn't matter if you've never played football before; the BNDS Dragons Football Team welcomes all those who love sports and football! In addition to regular training sessions, we also participate in friendly matches against other school teams. These games allow our players to showcase their skills and grow as athletes.
